It’s so enriching to live in conscious awareness of the changing of the seasons. Just hours after the Full moon of August 22nd the Sun moved into Virgo.
Now, on the 24th, we are truly into the seasonal change.
Virgo is a season of renewal and replenishment – a time to refine your body and renew your connection to the earth.
And, perfectly in sync with the season, I’m so grateful to be spending this week on a lake in Maine, in a cabin with amazing sunset views.
Virgo Season: The Misunderstood Virgo…
it’s a misnomer to think of Virgo as the Westernized ‘virgin’. Rather, Virgo is more about the archetypal journey to wisdom; how we grow (up) and mature in the ways of Mother Earth.
‘Virginal’ as related to Virgo also refers to the concept of purity and cleansing, things the sign Virgo is notoriously known for!
Did you know that the symbol for Virgo stylistically shows a goddess holding a stalk of grain?
That’s because, at the beginning of Virgo season, farmers in the Northern hemisphere prepare for harvest time, while in the Southern hemisphere, they prepare their fields for planting!
History is rich with myths surrounding the season of Virgo. In ancient Egypt, the Virgo goddess was Isis and her Sun-child Horus. The ancient Egyptians revered Isis for her magical powers and her ability to protect one from enemies.
The wisdom teaching of Kabbalah explains that Virgo is a time of repentance and taking responsibility for our own actions. And, that you do not have to carry the weight of the world; just be accountable for your own actions, but not the actions of others.
Symbolically, as you examine or purify (or ‘cleanse’) yourself in the Virgo season, you are contributing to the betterment of the entire world.
Thinking of you and sending blessings in this sacred season.

So far, it’s been an exciting month, right? And it’s about to get more exciting since it’s Moon in Aquarius full moon on August 22nd.
We’ve been together through the harvest festival day of Lammas (August 1st), followed by some planetary action, notably from the enigmatic Uranus and the delightful Venus.
Now it’s time to talk about the 2nd Aquarius Full moon of 2021!
Each of the 12 zodiac signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc.) all have 30 degrees.
One of the inner workings of astrology is thatthe higher the degree, the deeper the evolution of the sign. For example, the spiritual lessons of 0 – 9 degrees of Aquarius are different than the lessons of 20 – 29 degrees.
At the lower degrees, the lessons of that particular sign will be less advanced and as the degree increases, so does the sophistication of the lesson.
This week’s Full moon is at a whopping 29 degrees Aquarius! Therefore, the height of what Aquarius teaches us is what we must learn and demonstrate.
So what does the water bearer have to teach us?
Spiritual and Intellectual Maturity
During this full Moon, the Universe is saying “get it together, humans!” It’s time to give more than just lip service to all that Aquarius stands for:
Humanity
Loyalty
Inventiveness
Thinking outside the box
Intelligence (Aquarius) leading to, and coming from, Heart (Pisces)
The Aquarian Vision
The ultimate homage of Aquarius is true wisdom. Each zodiac sign has its own unique motto which helps to clarify its character. For example, Aries is “I am”, Taurus is “I have”. For Aquarius, it’s “I know”
Acting on what we know will be key during this Full Aquarius Moon! We need to working together to create a world where people think and care about the welfare of other people and all of life.
Aquarius says you are a Divine being with a stellar mind, and you can use that mind to envision a world living within a Higher Order.
The world we live in was and continues to be born out of chaos, but through the patterns of sacred geometry, it finds order.
Even your DNA is evolving, but with a pattern that has manifested all that is.
Sending my love and gratitude, and honor of YOU – Blessed One.
Venus will be igniting creativity and inspiration, which will be keeping with last weeks’ theme of “Waking up”.
This starts on Monday, August 9th, with Venus and Neptune admiring each other.
Venus in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces is like two dance partners sizing up the other from across the room and saying ‘YES!’. And they become matched, like two peas in a pod, or two birds of a feather… perhaps even more.
With this placement, the key is to put less focus on your romance and more on self-care!
That’s why it’s a great time to try things associated with Venus, such as new styles of hair, fashion, or makeup. Music, dancing, art, or going to the movies is also a great way to add more glamour to your life.
Continuing with the ‘no-drama zone’ astrology forecast, Venus in Virgo next interacts with Pluto in Capricorn via another trine on August 11th.
Now, THIS is a great time for romance! Thanks to your increased desire for love and affection. So make room for romance and more dating during this period.
Although Pluto has a fearsome reputation, the truth is Pluto is amenable to whatever planet he is mingling with! So this will be true when it mingles with Venus, it will still boost your creativity and inspiration!
For example:
– Pluto and Saturn mean challenging lessons.
– Pluto and Jupiter means great opportunities for growth and prosperity
– Pluto and Mercury means respect and impact of ideas
So during this period, there will be artistry, empathy for others, and positive transformation of values!
So there you have it! That’s why and how Venus will be Igniting Creativity & Inspiration this week!
The Leo New moon of August 8th set a template for your future, and Venus is filling it nicely.
Hold on to your most positive vision and know that your creativity and inspiration will serve you to manifest exactly what you want and more!
Yesterday, June 20th, just before midnight (Eastern US, Monday, June 21st at 3:32 UTC), the Sun entered Cancer – the marker of Solstice!
In addition, there are more astrological events that add to the significance of Solstice 2021.
We are still eagerly waiting for Mercury to station direct (June 22nd); the days before Mercury changes direction can feel a bit like the doldrums.
But, don’t be anxious; instead, you can enjoy this planetary respite.
Right now, Mercury is also standing still, otherwise known as a ‘station.’
During this time, this station will intensify Mercury’s energy.
Essentially, Mercury is resting while planning his next mission or mischief.
Plus, every year on Solstice, the Sun also stands still in the sky. After all, Solstice is derived from Sol (Sun) and sister (standing still).
If you are a skywatcher, you can observe the Sun move northward each day. I live on the water with a fabulous Eastern view, and it has been phenomenal to see how far the rising Sun moves northward each day.
The Sun stands still for approximately three days after June!
There are two more notable planetary events this week:
Venus trine Neptune on June 21st
Venus opposing Pluto on June 23rd
Venus is in Cancer until June 26/27.
Here are some words from one of my favorite astrologers, Evangeline Adams (1968 – 1933), to help you understand Venus in the different signs:
“One might attribute Venus in fire (signs) as passionate, earth affectionate, air ideal or romantic, and water, voluptuous”.
Adams succinctly describes Venus in Cancer as “voluptuous” (I love it). As Venus moves into Leo on June 26th, she enters the realm of “fire and passion.”
So, voluptuous Venus in Cancer trines Neptune on Solstice and opposes Pluto two days later.
In the language of the stars, Solstice 2021 is saying: “Be still, stay calm (trine Neptune), hold steady (oppose Pluto), and allow yourself to go deeply into the stillness. Hold space for a new and peaceful way of living.”
In love and gratitude,

June 14th is a special day this year – it’s the day Saturn and Uranus move into their exact square aspect – the second of three times it will happen this year.
The remaining 2021 date for this is December 24.
Here’s an easy way to understand Saturn square Uranus:
Saturn = Old Guard, the Establishment, What Has Been
Uranus = Reformation, New Power, Structures,
These two planets going square represents unforeseen changes.
Saturn square Uranus happens in 22/24-year cycles, and it’s always helpful to look back at what happened previously.
Throughout history, this event has been associated with financial restructuring, including the financial crisis of 1930/31 and a monetary readjustment in 1884 – 1886.
Value and Worth
It’s telling that in astrology, the 2nd house addresses both your earned income and your self-worth. The teaching is that the contribution you make in the world is a foundation of how you value yourself.
Globally, careless resource management has time and time again led to disasters as the precious resources of Mother Earth are wasted.
Regardless of what happens in the world financial markets, the core of successful resource management is realizing the true VALUE of that thing.
So, Saturn square Uranus brings up some deep questions, such as:
Do you value time over money?
What do you want to do with your life?
What do you want to do with your money?
Saturn and Uranus both impact you globally and culturally as well as personally. Think about what you truly value and embrace the freedom that comes with commitment.
With love and respect,
Maya White
