January 2022 begins with Venus retrograde until January 29th. To add to the mix, Mercury stations retrograde on January 14th. So, this New Year is a time of fresh new beginnings, but the stars say that there is still some clean up to be done. The answer – take it slow! This is a year to begin with your eyes open, your heart aware, and your soul awakened.
On January 8th Venus dives into the heart of the Sun. I have found that this is when those on earth may pass, and it’s a most auspicious time indeed. Soon Venus will reappear in the sky in her glory as Lucifer, the Morning Star.

On January 11th we have another dynamic planetary event; Mars square Neptune. These two planets have an ‘interesting’ relationship. Mars is in Sagittarius, a somewhat happy zone, and Neptune is in Pisces, the sign of her rulership. I think of these two as a meeting of skillful storytellers. Neptune loves a good tale, especially when it suits her love of intrigue and mystery. And, Mars in Sag surely takes the bait of filling Neptune’s curiosity.
