Whats Going On? – July New Moon * Liberation
The New Moon of July 19 is a cosmic reset in Moon ruled Cancer, but is it Mars who has been driving the tour bus. On Tuesday the 17th Mars formed a tension filled square to Pluto, and just hours before the seeding of the New Moon energy, Mars faces off in opposition to Uranus. Think of this as a dynamic call for activation, and the potential outcome is true liberation.
Uranus and Pluto promote radical change and rebirth both on the personal and cultural levels. Clearly this is an opportunity to break free of unhealthy bonds that linger in the cellular memory of our Cancerian DNA; our ancestry, our patterns, and our old habits. With this planetary inspiration, we can forge a clean break from our past.
Uranus and Pluto set the stage for redemption on the global stage. I remain confident that we are living through a once in a lifetime historic transition from malevolent power and control into a New Age of freedom and autonomy. It’s just taking some time to put it all together. And, although we all want it now, realistically, it may take until – say, December 21st or so. Hmmm, does that date sound familiar?
Mars delivers power and action. As ruler of the underworld, Pluto holds the repository of our secrets. I like to describe Mars and Pluto working in tandem as a soldier and general. Pluto, the general has a strategic plan, and Mars fulfills his orders. These need not be negative events, however; think of this activation as Mars with a mission and purpose.
Whereas Mars and Pluto have some degree of stealth, Mars and Uranus put it all out there for the world to see. Suppression of Mars and Uranus energy often results in some type of accident. With Mars, Pluto, and Uranus involved, if we don’t respond to the urging of our soul, the energy gets misdirected – with a predictable and uncomfortable outcome.
Even Mercury retrograde (July 14 – August 7) helps us now to overcome the excuses our logical mind creates to avoid transformation. Mars urges us to step up and move past our fear. The earth is nurturing us at this time, and although there is high energy in the cosmos, we are comforted by the steady evolution of a safe home – Mother Earth.
The gift of this Cancer moon is a time to get in touch with pure essence and seed our desires in fertile ground.
