February astrology has always been one of my favorite months. When I lived in Maine it was because the Light changed. Days grew longer and warmer. More birds came to my yard, especially unusual ones. I remember being enchanted by a tiny bird called a TreeCreeper. This fairy like bird finds insects while winding around the tree trunks – even on the coldest and snowiest days.
And, although I live in Florida now, it’s February I once again feel hopeful. There’s something about the Sun in Aquarius. In part, it’s the angle of the Sun Light as it comes to earth that creates a mystical vibe. And I reconnect with the possibility of living an enchanted life; to look for fairies, TreeCreepers and Indigo Buntings.
Aquarius has two planetary rulers, Uranus and Saturn. Saturn ruled Aquarius is pragmatic; social structures and global justice. Uranian ruled Aquarius is more interesting to many; personal creativity, social rebellion, and making magic.
We are longing for the magical side of Aquarius, yet acutely aware of world events that are NOT magical. They’re Hurtful, Harmful, and Hateful. And, yes, the HHH has gotten in front of our magic. For me too. I’ve had to fight and set boundaries. But, I survived, and have emerged stronger than ever!
