What’s Going On * March 5 – 10

Monday the 5th arrived with a loud wake up call as Mercury and Uranus join forces. Did you notice all of the social anxiety as people unconsciously respond to this duress? The Leo moon square Jupiter (5:20AM Pacific Time) added to the stressful tone of this busy Monday.  When the moon is in Leo, people want recognition, but, Mercury and Uranus submit that the process of leading with the heart can be overruled by mental calculations. Best advice for the upcoming Mercury/Uranus conjunction days (March 18 and April 22) is – don’t’ take it personally.

The upcoming transits are all preparing us to live in an age of increased sovereignty. Truly, creativity is becoming the new power broker and our ability to recognize and manifest caring and personal freedom increases as we usher in this new age. Ground yourself in the Light, and stay in your bodies as we shift into a time when the fantastic becomes normal. Know that you are protected, cared for, and exquisitely loved.

Venus also entered Taurus on Monday the 5th – hooray! Venus is now in the sign of her ‘dignity’ which implies that she is in her greatest power.   Dignity also engenders poise and self-respect, two qualities that make Venus happy as she lights up the sign or Taurus from now through April 3rd.

Tuesday the 6th dawns with an early morning longing glance between Venus and Neptune.  (Venus in Taurus sextile Neptune in Pisces) This planetary combo speaks to possibilities, potentialities, nuance, and dreams. But, remember, the sextile is an aspect of opportunity, but one which requires action on your part. Is there something that needs your attention now? It may be hard to pull it together, but it’s important you take care of necessary tasks today, because the Moon also sextiles Saturn in the evening.

Truly, the 6th is a great day to round up loose ends as we open the doors for Full Moon energy. The moon enters Virgo at 7:27 PM (PT) Tuesday evening. Keywords for the Virgo moon are: pragmatic, fastidious, purification, acknowledgement, refinement.

Wednesday the 7th is another balanced and productive day as the Virgo moon trines both Jupiter and Pluto at the start of the business day. Remember that Jupiter and Pluto play together in big business, publishing, and other endeavors that affect the masses. If you have a project that calls for impacting large groups of people, Wednesday is your day to take a leap of faith and reach out, perhaps in a way that you have never done before. Think BIG!!

Technically, the Moon is full on Thursday at 1:39 AM (PT) but we will see it shining most brightly on Wednesday night. Take time at sunset on Wednesday to watch the sun set in the west at the same time the moon rises in the east. This is a sure way to connect with the cosmic forces that guide our planet. And, say hello to Venus and Jupiter when you see them shining brightly in the western sky. You can read my previous postings on the upcoming grand earth trine of Pluto in Capricorn, Venus conjunct Jupiter in Taurus, and Mars in Virgo. Know that this is all of great benefit to us all.

Friday the 9th is stressful all around.  All before noon Pacific Time, the Libra moon opposes Uranus and Mercury and squares Pluto. Obstinacy and tension are woven into the fabric of this day. Libra is a sign the desires peace, but the signs for this day are touch and go, and my advice is take it easy, and remain alert to the need for attitude adjustments on the part of belligerents; this includes YOU. A Friday afternoon road rage incident is not the way to end your week.

Saturday the 10th is better – fun, lovey dovey again, even when the moon enters Scorpio at 9:24PM (PT). Enjoy the Scorpio moon – people are intense, dynamic, sexual, creative, and psychic; what’s not to love?  Until next week with all blessings and wishes for good things to come.

March 2012 * Welcome the Age of Aquarius!

Maya White - What's Going On?Full Moon in Virgo* March 8
New Moon in Aries* March 22nd

Mercury retrograde * March 12 – April 4  (6 Aries/ 23 Pisces)

Mercury conjunct Uranus * March 5 ; March 18 ; April 22
Jupiter trine Pluto * March 12

This month graces us with bountiful astrological events. Most notable is the Golden Grid Earth Trine of March 12 – 15th. We have a major benefic planetary line up during these days. First, on Monday the 12th, Jupiter in Taurus trines Pluto in Capricorn at 9:31 PM Pacific time, and Tuesday, Venus joins expansive Jupiter. (Sky watchers have been seeing this celestial event developing over the past month.)  Astrologically, Jupiter has been peregrine, or exiled in the early degrees of Taurus; he was shining brightly in the sky, but not interacting by degree with the other planets. As he engages Pluto, he springs to life.

Mars in Virgo chimes in to complete the action on Wednesday the 14th by completing his favorable interaction with Pluto, and the Jupiter/Venus conjunction. With Pluto ruling world government, this should bring relief on the global front, as well as grant ease to the people.

The last quarter moon of March 14th is at 25 Sagittarius – within orb of the Galactic Center which is to be found at the heart of the Milky Way galaxy. The last quarter lunation signals a time of ‘reckoning of consciousness.’ With recent resignations of 40 worlds banking leaders in place, there is truly hope for a new world to emerge. Hold on, though, because March delivers even more good news!

The New Moon of March 22nd is preceded by our Vernal Equinox on March 19th. With this lunation, the Sun, Moon, and Mercury activate Uranus in the early degrees of Aries. Talk about new beginnings! I have never seen such a dramatic line up. The planets also reside closely in what is called declination, a measurement that addresses vertical alignment that further empowers what could be a volatile planetary gathering. Hopefully the blessing of benefics earlier in the month will defuse the negative potential as we truly welcome the Age of Aquarius.

Mercury also makes his play into the dance of Light for March. Mercury conjunct the Sun (March 21) can be described as a merging of Mind and Will. Sometimes called a ‘trickster’, Mercury notably is described as being void of a conscience. (It is Jupiter who orders Mercury into social compliance.) But before Mercury joins the Sun, he meets his higher octave planet, Uranus, twice in March! On the 5th, before his retrograde station he meets his ‘soul mate’ .These two make a dramatic pair – Mercury brings the ideas and Uranus makes them happen. If you are preparing to launch something, brilliant, Monday the 5th is your day to shoot for the stars!

Best to take care of your important business before Mercury stations retrograde on Monday the 12th. This time, Mercury leaves his temporary home in Aries to re-enter Pisces (March 23 – April 4) where he cleans up unfinished business. Coinciding then with the retrograde journey of Mercury, he again joins Uranus on March 18th and April 22nd. Know that many secrets will be revealed when these two characters meet in April.

This is all good news – use it to your best advantage, and really, really, treasure the blessings.

With love and amazement and gratitude – Maya White

What’s Going On * February 24 – March 2

Maya White - What's Going On?The gates open wide early in the AM on Friday the 24th as the early Aries Moon joins dynamic Uranus; we are living in mythic time of bravery as citizens of the oppressed countries step up and demand personal sovereignty. As if in a prelude to the upcoming Pluto/Uranus squares, the moon next forms a dynamic square to lord of the underworld, Pluto.

[The upcoming Uranus square Pluto dates are: June 26, 2012;  September 19 2012; May 21 2013; November 1 2013; April 21 2014; December 15 2014;  March 17 2015. This is a rare dynamic aspect of social evolution. The last time these planets were in a challenging square aspect was during the 1930’s. Indeed we are facing economic re-organization, but we have the gift of unprecedented technology that that lends a transformative light.]

Recognize that these lunar and planetary energies are here to empower and boost humanity, not destroy, as so many dire naysayers predict. I am confident in your ability to create a magical life, one that allows for true healing and karmic clarity which is the positive manifestation of the times we are in.

Saturday the 25th shines up with a lovely Sun sextile Jupiter and the Moon conjunct Venus. When the Sun and Jupiter interact, be alert to opportunities; you just never know what your expansive mind can uncover. And, with goddess Venus coming out to play in the early afternoon, we can all join her fiery dance. Venus in Aries is excitable but she tires easily, so plan your Saturday activities for early in the day.

Saturday the 26th the Moon stabilizes into grounded earthy Taurus; what a perfect day for outings in parks or by the sea. The Moon conjunct Jupiter in the evening lends comfort to your home and security to your deepest emotions. This is the perfect evening to invite friends over to share good food and conversation.

Monday the 27th  is a fabulous day for business. The Moon, still in Taurus forms lovely trines to both Pluto and Mars which dramatically stabilizes your activities, and late in the day the Pisces Sun also forms a lovely sextile of opportunity to Pluto. Don’t waste this day doing something you’d rather not, as this is a perfect day to conduct long term negotiations or even apply for financing. (The 27th of February is also the birth date of Elizabeth Taylor.  Think about her wealth of diamonds, rubies, and emeralds, and remember that the sun sign Pisces also holds all the riches of the sea.  Buried treasures as well as an abundance of plant and animal life are nurtured by the rich waters of Neptune.)

Get your activities finalized early in the day on Tuesday the 28th, before the void of course Moon which begins at noon Pacific Time. Tuesday afternoon is best left to routine actives because not much happens when the moon is void of course. Think of it as a mini Mercury retrograde.

Wednesday the 29th  is better as the 1st quarter Gemini Moon engages Uranus early in the day. Now the genius that lies inherent in your body, mind, and soul can find expression in your life. The 1st quarter moon indicates a time to take action – sky diving, anyone?

If you take me up on the skydiving offer, best to go on Wednesday, because the Moon square Mars aspect of early Thursday suggests a hard landing! March 1st is a good day to avoid disagreements; you may have to confront someone or something, but, choose your battles wisely and keep in mind that some things are just not worth the provocation. Friday the 2nd is a much happier day.

I will return with an update for next week; in the meantime – fly safe and swim deep; astrology will always tell you exactly What’s Going On.

What’s Going On * February 20 – 24

The sun also entered watery, mutable Pisces on Saturday the 18th. Happy birthday  to all Pisces natives. You are ready to entertain your planetary ruler, Neptune for the next several years – enjoy, and find your strength as you   enter the rich, watery realm of the god of ecstasy.

Sunday, the Sun joins Neptune to give you a taste of what is to come – a small caution – alcohol is also ruled by Neptune,  think Dionysus and his wild nights of music and dance. Even, better, think – warm sexuality, soft music, moonlight walks on the beach, and candle light romantic dinners. Now –that’s a Neptune I can get behind.

The new Moon arrives on Tuesday the 21st – along with the celebratory day of Mardi Gras. Again – balance the idea of having fun against the    experience of having –TOO much fun!!! The moon joins Neptune at exactly 10:48 AM Pacific time; anyone looking for a reason to take the day off and celebrate will have every good reason to do so. This is also an amazing connection for artists, visionaries, and musicians. As we merge with the vast inspiration of Neptune in the months ahead, remember the positive side of his watery realm. Tuesday bids farewell with a positive moon sextile to Jupiter – count your blessings and know that opportunity awaits.

Wednesday the 22nd is still lush; the Pisces moon waves a friendly sextile to Pluto in the early hours of the morning. You will be happy you considered the path of moderation on Wednesday when the late Pisces moon bids farewell to Mars in the early evening and ventures in to void of course (v/c).

Thursday, the 23rd, the Moon enters energetic Aries, as Mercury forms a dynamic opposition to Mars in the early hours –think carefully before taking action because somebody may have an alternative plan to yours. Think twice, move once, and then – enjoy the afternoon with all of your important decisions well behind you.

Sending wishes for smooth sailing into the next week.

What’s Going On * February 10 – 16th

On the heels of an exciting Venus/Uranus conjunction the night of Thursday February 9th, The Libra Moon of Friday the 10th settles us down and begs for analysis of the events of the previous evening. Keeping in mind that the combo of Venus and Uranus lends excitement, but not often stability, the query becomes: Will she, wont’ he; does she/ does he not? Hmm, many questions are answered today as the Moon opposes our impetuous paring of the night before. Your special secret insight is: follow your heart, as your heart will always lead you to the path that is good and true.

The Libra moon squares Pluto in the wee hours of Saturday – this dynamic aspect often brings us to a point of decision –think of the square as a shearing, or cutting energy. However, the square can also provide a foundation for a new structure, so don’t be afraid to face your most difficult emotion. Remember that Libra is a cardinal, or action taking sign – any actions taken today that are fueled by love and compassion will ultimately set you free.

After a brief void of course period on Sunday, the moon enters passionate Scorpio at 2 PM Pacific time.   Use the spiritual tone of our Sunday morning aspects to connect with your most sincere inner guidance. As the Moon engages Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, and Jupiter, Sunday  is a great time for catching up with your family and long lost friends.

On Monday the 13th – buyer beware! Mercury joins Neptune in an exact conjunction,  which can lead to a disappointment, or, result in a misunderstanding. Take it easy today – Monday is best for getting your dreams and visions on paper, but – save the proposal for another time.

Speaking of proposals – Tuesday the 14th is Happy Valentine’s day – our national day to celebrate love and romance. This year, Valentine’s Day lands on a stressful last quarter Scorpio Moon.  Now, I am a great supporter of love, but, recommend that this day be kept romantic, and sultry  in keeping with the Scorpio Moon. The other side of a Scorpio moon  can be petty and jealous; you decide how you want to script this day, as your approach makes a big difference in the quality of your memories.

Wednesday the 15th delivers the reality of secrets that were contemplated on Saturday the 11th. As Venus and Pluto face off in a dynamic square, remember that true love is based on understanding and sincerity. The Sagittarius Moon prompts us all to speak our truth, and commitments made on this day can have long term ramifications provided you stick to your core issue of truth.

Consider setting time aside for a softer romantic interlude on Thursday the 16th  – which  is a fun filled day of opportunity! This day the early Capricorn moon engages Saturn and Neptune, plus Mercury happily meets Jupiter. This is your best day for networking, social and professional meetings, and your great day to get the job done – wishing you the best of all days ahead.
