Monday, Sept 13 delivers a moment of truth as the week opens with a dynamic Sagittarius last quarter moon. This lunar phase represents a time of ‘crisis in consciousness’, a time when decisions are made and commitments formed. This week marks a tender moment.

Last weeks’ Virgo New moon set the stage with an enchanting Jupiter and Venus trine, a fortunate aspect that gives hope for positive outcomes. Indeed, many are weary as we are living through these times of rapid change.

Every day it’s easy to look around and see all that is wrong with the world; however, the stars serve as a reminder of what is right and positive.

What makes this lunation so powerful is that the Moon, at 21 Sagittarius, is exactly interacting with another major planetary event.

Sun opposing Neptune on Tuesday, Sept 14 = no place to hide

First, Sun opposing Neptune. This happens one day each year, so it’s not rare, but like so many other events in this monumental year – the symbolic language of the stars has much to say. The last quarter Sagittarius moon drives all messages home.

Neptune is though of as the androgynous planet of ‘illusion’; but there is more to Neptune’s story. Neptune also speaks to your longings and desires; to your heart.

The longing of the human heart serves as one of the most powerful history makers in the world.

Neptune drives what makes you happy, or at least what you think will do so. Neptune triggers us all, often in the most subtle ways.
Needless to say, with so many points of view out there now, Neptune is having a moment.

The Sibley Chart and Transiting Neptune

Ironically, this planetary configuration between the Moon, Sun, and Neptune forms a planetary T-square that is completed by the Mars of the US birth chart at 21 Gemini. Translated – this week’s last quarter lunation cycle shines a bright and perhaps harsh light on the what is truth and what truly motivates those in power in the United States now.

For example, you can see in the birth chart of the United, (I use the Sibley chart) transiting Neptune has been connected to the progressed Sun of the US since late 2018.

This clearly speaks to why the US is unraveling with so many different points of view. The only thing more astounding than this transit is that nobody is talking about it! (Neptune…)

Uniting Heaven and Earth

This week is a special new beginning. Today’s Virgo New moon is graced by a most fortunate trine between Jupiter and Venus, the two ‘beneifcs’, or beneficial planets.

Jupiter delivers grace and Venus adds beauty.

Plus, the Sun forms a favorable trine to Uranus with this lunation.

Think of the trine as an invitation, or an open door. I like to visualize the trine in 3-D; as a pyramid.

Pyramids were built to establish a connection between the Earth and spirit. The top, or apex, of a pyramid funnels the energy of earth into the realm of the Divine.

Until September 21/22, the Sun resides in Virgo, the sign that invites you to examine WHY you are doing what you do. When you get clear on your motivation, taking action becomes easier.
Virgo also rules the process of purification – again, getting clear on your intentions.

It’s so enriching to live in conscious awareness of the changing of the seasons. Just hours after the Full moon of August 22nd the Sun moved into Virgo. 

 

Now, on the 24th, we are truly into the seasonal change.  

 

Virgo is a season of renewal and replenishment – a time to refine your body and renew your connection to the earth.

 

And, perfectly in sync with the season, I’m so grateful to be spending this week on a lake in Maine, in a cabin with amazing sunset views.  

 

Virgo Season: The Misunderstood Virgo…

it’s a misnomer to think of Virgo as the Westernized ‘virgin’. Rather, Virgo is more about the archetypal journey to wisdom; how we grow (up) and mature in the ways of Mother Earth. 

 

‘Virginal’ as related to Virgo also refers to the concept of purity and cleansing, things the sign Virgo is notoriously known for!

 

Did you know that the symbol for Virgo stylistically shows a goddess holding a stalk of grain? 

 

That’s because, at the beginning of Virgo season, farmers in the Northern hemisphere prepare for harvest time, while in the Southern hemisphere, they prepare their fields for planting!

 

History is rich with myths surrounding the season of Virgo. In ancient Egypt, the Virgo goddess was Isis and her Sun-child Horus. The ancient Egyptians revered Isis for her magical powers and her ability to protect one from enemies. 

 

The wisdom teaching of Kabbalah explains that Virgo is a time of repentance and taking responsibility for our own actions. And, that you do not have to carry the weight of the world; just be accountable for your own actions, but not the actions of others. 

 

Symbolically, as you examine or purify (or ‘cleanse’) yourself in the Virgo season, you are contributing to the betterment of the entire world.

Aquarius Full Moon

So far, it’s been an exciting month, right? And it’s about to get more exciting since it’s Moon in Aquarius full moon  on August 22nd.

We’ve been together through the harvest festival day of Lammas (August 1st), followed by some planetary action, notably from the enigmatic Uranus and the delightful Venus.

Now it’s time to talk about the 2nd Aquarius Full moon of 2021!

Each of the 12 zodiac signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc.) all have 30 degrees.

One of the inner workings of astrology is that the higher the degree, the deeper the evolution of the sign. For example, the spiritual lessons of 0 – 9 degrees of Aquarius are different than the lessons of 20 – 29 degrees.

At the lower degrees, the lessons of that particular sign will be less advanced and as the degree increases, so does the sophistication of the lesson.

This week’s Full moon is at a whopping 29 degrees Aquarius! Therefore, the height of what Aquarius teaches us is what we must learn and demonstrate. 

So what does the water bearer have to teach us?

Spiritual and Intellectual Maturity

During this full Moon, the Universe is saying “get it together, humans!” It’s time to give more than just lip service to all that Aquarius stands for:

The Aquarian Vision

Acting on what we know will be key during this Full  Aquarius Moon! We need to working together to create a world where people think and care about the welfare of other people and all of life.

Aquarius says you are a Divine being with a stellar mind, and you can use that mind to envision a world living within a Higher Order.

The world we live in was and continues to be born out of chaos, but through the patterns of sacred geometry, it finds order.

Even your DNA is evolving, but with a pattern that has manifested all that is.

Venus Igniting Creativity & Inspiration August 9

Venus will be igniting creativity and inspiration, which will be keeping with last weeks’ theme of “Waking up”.

This starts on Monday, August 9th, with Venus and Neptune admiring each other. 

Venus in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces is like two dance partners sizing up the other from across the room and saying ‘YES!’. And they become matched, like two peas in a pod, or two birds of a feather… perhaps even more.

With this placement, the key is to put less focus on your romance and more on self-care!

That’s why it’s a great time to try things associated with Venus, such as new styles of hair, fashion, or makeup. Music, dancing, art, or going to the movies is also a great way to add more glamour to your life.

Continuing with the ‘no-drama zone’ astrology forecast, Venus in Virgo next interacts with Pluto in Capricorn via another trine on August 11th.

Now, THIS is a great time for romance! Thanks to your increased desire for love and affection. So make room for romance and more dating during this period.

Although Pluto has a fearsome reputation, the truth is Pluto is amenable to whatever planet he is mingling with! So this will be true when it mingles with Venus, it will still boost your creativity and inspiration!

– Pluto and Saturn mean challenging lessons.

– Pluto and Jupiter means great opportunities for growth and prosperity

– Pluto and Mercury means respect and impact of ideas

So during this period, there will be artistry, empathy for others, and positive transformation of values!

Aquarius Full Moon * July 23

This week as the moon waxes, leading up to the Aquarius full moon of July 23rd, your energy and potential for positive change is also growing.

Remember that these planets are now moving out of a mystical configuration called the Yod, aka ‘Hand of God’. Mars, in Leo until July 29th is holding the energetic template.

This week continues the theme of ‘adjustment’ through the activities of Venus, Mars, Neptune, and Pluto.

Venus leads the way when she changes signs and moves into Virgo on Wednesday, July 21.
And next, Mars is inconjunct Neptune on July 18th and inconjunct Pluto on July 22nd.

 Mars says:
Hang in there and go the distance
You may have to overcome discouragement and even lack of energy
Pace yourself and finalize the issue at hand.

This is a time to compromise and listen to others.
And, it’s a prime time for personal growth; your ideas may just be enhanced by input from others.

Aquarius full moon is a unique and mystical time. The very word ‘Mystical’ speaks to unseen forces that come from the Spiritual realm rather than the material world. However, these off-balance aspects have handed you a vehicle to materialize the Hand of God, or the spiritual world.
